Member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for setting strategy, monitoring, and amending priorities of the fund, assessment of risk management framework, as well as maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders including Pension Committee members (elected politicians and employer/member representatives), non-executive Directors and professional advisors. Key responsibilities as CFO were initially to review the operations of the finance team, including reviewing the effectiveness of the current financial systems and ways of working of the team with a focus on development of the existing team members. The scope of this work covered both core finance as well as aspects of investment administration/operations. This work builds on and uses experience from previous roles and Baillie Gifford, BlackRock and EY, in the areas of financial reporting, operations finance controls implementation as well as leadership and development of the team.
