The Senior Care Pharmacy Coalition (SCPC) is the only trade group in Washington exclusively representing the interests of long-term care (LTC) pharmacies in the public policy arena. During Mr. Rosenbloom\'s three-year tenure, SCPC has more than tripled it membership. The organization now represents LTC pharmacies serving roughly patients daily in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in every state in the country. Under his leadership, SCPC has: 1. Changed Medicare Part D policy concerning unfettered use of daily dispensing fees to undermine financial stability of LTC pharmacies: 2. Established a legislative exemption for beneficiaries in LTC facilities from the so-called \"Medicare Part D Lock-In,\" which provided continuity of care for more than 1.2 million seniors living in skilled nursing facilties; and 3. Persuaded the FDA exempt LTC pharmacies serving patients in LTC facilities from final repackaging guidance that otherwise would have put nursing home patients at significant risk, prevented LTC pharmacies from providing LTC pharmacies from supplying emergency medications to facilities, placed every nursing facility in the country out of compliance with Medicare and Medicaid statutory and regulatory requirements and disqualified every LTC pharmacy in the country from participating in Medicare Part D networks. Mr. Rosenbloom provides leadership to a voluntary Board of Directors and has assembled a top-flight team of employees, researchers and consultants that work seamlessly under his leadership to deliver results that benefit SCPC\'s members and drive continuing organizational growth.
