About Alan Plush
Professional experience includes 25 years in the commercial real estate valuation industry. I am a designated MAI presently serving as President and Senior Partner of HealthTrust, LLC. an industry leading appraisal firm providing valuation and advisory services to the healthcare and senior housing industries. In 1986, I began specializing in the appraisal of healthcare properties. Starting with a strong foundation in the appraisal of adult congregate living facilities and nursing homes, I have expanded my expertise to date having directly or indirectly participated in the appraisal of approximately nursing homes, 4,500 congregate care facilities, an additional continuing care retirement centers, and over 200 hospitals throughout 48 states in the U.S.I remain active in the industry as the founding member of NMMC (National Medicaid/Medicare Conference) which has since been gifted to the NIC. I speak regularly at conferences such as NIC, ALFA, ASHA and other venues. I also sit on the executive board of ASHA and am active with numerous committes and industry trade groups. Through HealthTrust I also contribute to various publications including but not limited to the Assisted Living Absorption Study, the Annual Transaction Study with ASHA, the State of Seniors Housing with NIC and ASHA, and the 2005 CCRC Profile with AAHSA.I am an investor in the industry through Rittenhouse Senior Living (an owner operator with 7 facilities), Smith-Packett (a sale/lease back equity source) and Contemporary Health Care Capital (a senior debt and mezzanine lender). I also serve as a Partner in Energy Court Holdings, a debt and transaction advisory company.Specialties: Valuation, Consulting, Feasibility, Litigation, Tax Appeal and Transaction Support for the healthcare and senior housing sectors including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, CCRCs, Hospitals, and Medical Office Buildings.
