Environmental Insight Explorer Project:• Combating climate change and enabling smart sustainable municipal intervention through new data.In cooperation with ICLEI and the European Covenant of Mayors for the Climate, and Local Governments for Sustainability, leveraging Google´s data collection, mapping, and modeling capabilities to generate data usable in public policy planning and smart city design. Notably GCRF- compliant estimates of localized GHG emissions, mobility patterns, and other socio-environmental data of interest to municipal planning.(via CTS).• Key responsibilities: EN (UK, US, Canada, Australia, NZ), Brazil also Latin America.• Research and analysis. Assessment of municipal and regional carbon emissions inventories, decarbonisation plans, and transport planning. Evaluation and comparison of public documents; Data sourcing for reconciliation and incorporation.• Partner development: Campaign management and strategic communication. Political relations and data analysis with local government partners. Advisory data evaluation for translation into the policy (smart city, sustainable development, energy decarbonisation, transport, climate change mitigation).Business Intelligence: Localization – Research, Intelligence gathering. Identification of opportunities based on evaluation of the existing state of the art (Carbon accounting reports, comprehensive planning strategies, action plans).
