A highly experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic individual with over 17 year’s health & safety and compliance industry experience focused on asbestos management and compliance working for numerous companies such as London and Quadrant, The BBC, Interserve and Redhill. I have worked my way from a trainee site analyst to my current role within L&Q. I have key experience of working in big and small teams as well as being an experienced people manager. I am very passionate about my work and delivering my objectives and targets but also ensuring I bring my team on that journey, so we deliver as a group for both L&Q and our residents. Through my work in the compliance sector I have gained key compliance knowledge such as water and legionella, gas, LOLER, electrical safety, fire safety and personal safety. I have detailed knowledge of building regulations, and the importance of ensuring all our residents have a safe and affordable place to live.I have worked across multiple departments to improve both asbestos safety and personal safety for staff, operatives, members of the public and residents. I have a proven record of managing contractors and managing projects through there life cycle, including the demobilisation and mobilisation of contractors via tender processes, as well as performance managing failing contractors and improving key contractor relationships. This is a skill that can be transferred across multiple strands and is vital to the successful implementation of a contract. I have built strong relationships with contractors to ensure adherence to contractual KPIs and ensuring budgetary adherence. In the last 12 months I have overseen a compliance budget of £140m and monitor this on a weekly basis to ensure we remain in line with forecast. I have a detailed knowledge of various building management systems, as well as asset databases such as keystone, as well as finance and reporting systems. I have various IT tools that I also use on a day to day basis to make sure I stay on top of my work. I also have a detailed knowledge of contract procurement, via JCT contracts as well as framework partnerships.I also have experience of working with sector regulators and the HSE in several areas and most recently sat on an advisory panel for new asbestos regulations for the housing sector, as well as writing and implementing policy within an organisation
