ABOUT ALAN NI
Upon graduating from UC San Diego, I moved to Hong Kong to work for the first privately-owned bank in China, Minsheng Bank. This was unfamiliar territory for me as I did not know how to speak Cantonese (the native tongue in Hong Kong and Southern China), nor did I have any friends there. However, I took the challenge of adapting to a new environment head-on, leaving no regrets. During my time in Hong Kong, I looked to pursue higher education and was blessed to be accepted into Southern Methodist University\'s Master\'s of Science in Management program. After receiving my Master\'s degree in 2016, I began working as a financial analyst in the midstream oil & gas industry at JP Energy. Since my time here, I have gone through two acquisitions and survived (thankfully). With my newly acquired experiences and knowledge, I continued to work for one of the largest LPG companies in the world, SHV Energy. In January 2021, I decided to make my first major career change by moving back to California to be closer to my family. After a brief stint at Ingram Micro (one of the leading technology distributors in the world w/ 2020 revenues of $50B+), I joined First American\'s Mortgage Solutions division as the Finance Manager. I am extremely motivated and excited to take on this brand new challenge; please feel free to connect with me on my journey, you will not regret it!
