Slab Design Union is Alan Morrissey (BA Hons, Pg Dip (Distinction), Pg Dip Professional Practise), an ARB Registered and RIBA Chartered architect with over 24 years of professional experience in the fields of architecture and design, construction, project procurement and technical delivery.​Alan studied at the Birmingham School of Architecture and the Oxford Brookes School of Architecture, where his thesis project was nominated for the RIBA Silver Medal. Alan became a registered architect in 2010.​At Slab Design Union, Alan has established a practise that allows him to work closely with clients and consultants to create beautiful, functional architecture that is environmentally and socially responsible. Slab Design Union encourages a collaborative, hands-on approach to design and delivery, supported by extensive professional experience and expertise that includes pre and post-contract project delivery across a range of procurement routes (including Design and Build (single and two-stage), Traditional, Construction Management, Management Contracting, PCSA and NEC4), specification writing (National and global formats including CAWS, CSI and Uniclass), procurement and contract advice, on-site construction and project delivery, risk management, design management, and more recently advising on the Building Safety Act and associative legislation.
