Organising events and membership administration.I gained the first computer engineering degree in Scotland (1975) and spent 10 years at Heriot Watt University in Computer Engineering research. I installed the first Unix system in Scotland in 1976 and became the chairman of the European Unix User Group. After a couple of years of independent consulting, I spend my next 10 Years with Hewlett-Packard in consulting, support, training, marketing and sales and finally as Reseller Channel Manager for Scotland. I have had my own IT Service and Support business for 20 years and I am still actively involved in the support of Unix (HP-UX & Linux) and Microsoft Windows based servers and networks.
