As an analyst, I perform metallurgical failure analysis investigations on downhole equipment and piping components and identify their failure modes to clients. From my Ph.D, I have studied conventional and additively manufactured components immersed in sweet and sour brines and implemented electrochemical testing and surface characterization techniques to develop corrosion mechanisms that identify microstructural features posing deleterious effects and contribute to premature failures.
