ABOUT ALAN HARRISON

I am an experienced lead statistical programmer working with SAS and R in a range of therapeutic areas and phases. I am proficient in creating SDTM and ADaM specifications and datasets, TLFs, submission packages and macro/tool creation. As a study lead I have cross-functional and client partnership experience, including creating and negotiating timelines and contract scope, resource planning, and managing diverse study teams across multiple regions. I am interested in quality and efficiency and I have led several initiatives, developed tools, and produced company level best practice documentation and training materials. I have also been involved in leading quality issue investigations, line management and mentoring. I am currently an ADaM dataset planning and creation and interactive visualisation SME.Prior to beginning a career in the pharmaceutical industry I was a post-doctoral researcher studying the ecology of zoonotic diseases where I applied statistical models of infection using R. I am home-based in Northern Ireland where I live with my family and enjoy mountain biking with friends in my spare time.
