ABOUT ALAN FARKAS

I’m a seasoned National Director with more than 40 years of experience leading and growing programs in the non-profit and therapeutic community sector. Over the course of my career, I’ve helped launch and manage residential treatment centres across Canada and abroad, building pathways to care for youth, adults, and families in need.What drives me is creating access and opportunities for people who often feel left out of the system. I specialize in admissions strategy, program development, crisis intervention, and community engagement always with the goal of connecting individuals with the right supports at the right time.I’ve had the privilege of working alongside health authorities, Indigenous communities, government partners, and grassroots organizations, forging collaborations that open doors and sustain long-term impact. My leadership style is hands-on, collaborative, and mission-focused: I believe in empowering teams, building strong relationships, and making sure every initiative translates into real outcomes.With a background in Business Administration and Communications, I bring together clinical understanding, operational management, and strategic outreach. Whether it’s developing new referral networks, shaping policy, or guiding families through complex decisions, I approach the work with both professional dedication and personal passion.Above all, I believe in the power of community, compassion, and connection to change lives — and I’m committed to continuing that work every day.
