Act as liaison between the Residential, PHP and IOP programs and insurance companies. Consult daily with our medical director, nursing, and clinicians to gather clinical while assessing for most appropriate level of care for clients. Conduct daily telephonic and written reviews with insurance companies to secure authorization. Consult with families to provide education on the UR process and to help set realistic expectations for treatment and length of stay. Assist with aftercare in coordination with insurance companies. Conduct regular medical necessity and documentation trainings for clinical staff.
