    Provide leadership over the National Gallery of Art’s facilities management division consisting of engineering, operations, maintenance, facility services, horticulture, and facilities administration departments through 6 direct reports and 150 FTE (union and non-union) staff, and 2 dozen contractors. The National Gallery of Art is one of the largest and most visited museums in North America, located in the national mall on 16-acre grounds with 1.4 million square feet of iconic and historically significant buildings, 6.1 acres of a sculpture garden, pristine landscaped grounds as well as other off-site buildings and leased spaces. The gallery welcomes over 4.5 million visitors a year, holds over special events yearly and frequently receives VIPs and dignitaries. Prepare and manage $34M annual budget for facilities division; oversee management of the maintenance, operations and care of all buildings, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and utility systems, energy management and sustainability programs as well as horticultural assets. Provide services in excellence to internal and external customers by continually using tools such as CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), FCA (Facility Condition Assessment), BAS (Building Automation System), comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs and participating in benchmarking with pear institutions and other federal entities in facilities management. Provide oversight for all Facilities Management capital, energy savings and sustainability projects planning, design and construction administration from inception to final completion. Review and provide input in the development, design, and construction administration of large building capital projects as well as master planning for the campus.
