WORK HISTORY
Global Transformation Leader @Baker McKenzie
London, GB
Working with senior leaders, including C-suite and heads of Technology, Finance, and HR, to design and implement high-impact transformation programmes - bridging the gap between strategic vision and practical execution.Defining objectives, developing detailed plans, leading communications, securing stakeholder buy-in, and overseeing delivery to ensure impactful outcomes are achieved efficiently.Example projects include a multi-year business services transformation programme and the global implementation of SAP SuccessFactors, a leading cloud-based system for human capital management. In all projects, I partnered with the Chief People Officer and other function leaders to create a more connected, client-centric, and agile law firm by standardising internal operations and service delivery methods, with a focus on driving system adoption and enhancing the people experience.
EDUCATION

ABOUT ALAN CHUNG
Who am I?A people-centric strategy and transformation specialist with extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams in complex global organisations. What do I do?I work with leaders (C-suite members; heads of enabling functions across Technology, Finance and HR) to design and implement programmes that deliver impactful change.I help define or refine objectives; develop resource and activity plans; lead on engagement and communications; and oversee workstream delivery to achieve desired outcomes – coordinating input from a range of stakeholders to secure buy-in and facilitate decision-making.I reconcile strategic intent with realistic execution – being equally comfortable advising senior leaders with executive portfolios, and motivating implementation teams to work through the detail and deliver complex, interdependent tasks. How do I do that?I cut through the complexity and focus on pragmatic action – translating large enterprise-wide programmes into actionable plans to be owned and carried out by local teams.I build relationships quickly – identifying where complementary skills exist that may be leveraged from adjacent project teams, or across the organisation, to improve outcomes.I take a step back and join the dots – zooming out from delivery mode to help leaders see the trajectory and take any corrective actions in good time. I recognise that change is first and foremost about people and behaviour change – helping leaders craft and deliver the messages that foster strong and sustained engagement across the organisation.I bring a balance of EQ and IQ to every interaction, attuned to the range of emotions that business change may bring.
