I’m a graduate student in Azusa Pacific University’s College Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) program, with a passion for helping students navigate their educational journey. My long-term goal is to serve as an academic counselor at a community college, providing guidance in transfer planning, student services, and academic success.As a former community college student, I understand the challenges of navigating higher education—especially for first-gen, low-income, and transfer students. My own experiences, including overcoming academic dismissal and personal hardships, have fueled my commitment to creating a supportive, resource-rich environment for others.Currently, I work as a Graduate Assistant in the CCSD program, where I collaborate on student outreach, program coordination, and mentorship. I’m also gaining hands-on experience in transfer support and student success initiatives, preparing me to handle diverse counseling needs.Driven by service, community, and resilience, I approach every role with empathy, determination, and a student-first mindset.
