ABOUT ALAN BOSSHARD-CARTER

Technology and computers have always been a part of my life since the age of 11: where most of my time was spent laying on the living room floor, programming my ZX81. Since those early days, I have maintained a firm interest in all things technical. It\'s just, in my blood. I have always held a fascination with computer graphics and computer games, and electronic music and have always been on the lookout for jobs that immerse me in these fascinating worlds where I get to do interesting, cool things with technology. As I have progressed through my career I have become increasingly involved with differing platform architectures and enjoy the technical challenges these bring about.In my spare time, I like to code my own games and produce my own music, the latter being something that I pursued by studying music production and sound design at \'Point Blank studios in London.I also studied pure mathematics at the open university to further my abilities in creative thinking and abstract thought when coding or general problem-solving.Professionally I am an Engineer specialising in Unix administration and platform architecture, where my love of coding, shows in the more DevOps-oriented aspects of my roles.The work environment and companies I work for are of paramount importance to me, being mostly at home working in environments such as creative media, such as digital media and games software houses. Although not in any way limited to these industries, working with a creative dynamic team of people in a technically focused company is where my passion and creativity truly shine through.
