I was hired by the leadership team of Wabtec to provide technical leadership to translates business, program and project objectives into meaningful deliverables across multiple locations work teams. As a manager of test department, I am responsible for scheduling and managing the Dynamometer Test, assisting in writing dynamometer test plans, setting up and running tests, preparing dynamometer test reports, and specifying and ordering equipment and supplies. Cross-functional interaction and collaboration. Support leading new processes and methods in line with departmental goals, e.g. safety, budget, purchasing, etc. Observe and step up to remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues related to tests. Supervise the engineers and technicians across three shifts and conduct annual merit review and setting personal objectives. Assign and manage workload of direct reports. Sets individual employee and group priorities. Work with cross functional teams and Directors to determine project priorities. Review deliverables and behavior, providing candid and constructive feedback to employees. Forecasting material needs based upon project portfolio. Maintain stock of frequently used consumable and reusable items. Manage preventive maintenance of equipment and project future needs. Provide long-term equipment, manning, and other recommendations to the staff for annual Strategic Planning.
