ABOUT ALAIN ROLLAND

Senior manager with 25 years of engineering and quality management system experience in the automotive industry. Safety, sustainability, efficiency and quality are my motivations to be an actor in this challenging and fascinating industrial sector. Developing and maintaining the Regulation and Homologation worldwide process at RENAULT GROUP, through the use of the following tools: standards, audit, KPI, training, continual improvement, problem solving methods, risk analysis. Has been working at FIEV, the French federation of automotive suppliers, for 12 years in regulation and quality management systems, which are the key for safety and reliability. Involved in the international lighting and signalisation regulation through the GTB (Groupe de travail de Bruxelles) where I’m operating as the head delegate of the French delegation, but also in link with the French Government for national regulation like licence plate or periodic technical inspection. One of the five global IATF appointed Oversight managers with responsibility for global governance of the 3rd party certification scheme for ISO/TS16949, which represents more than certificates around the world. An IATF approved trainer, office assessor and witness auditor. President of the IATF France (the French Oversight Office which is a merging of PSA Groupe, Renault and FIEV) from 2013 to 2014. Colleagues describe me as a very reliable person capable to easily integrate into international teams with a very good understanding of different intercultural communication styles.
