Responsible for providing technical support and conducting technical reviews of submissions by Joint Venture contractors of both onshore and onshore oil facilities related to; marine geophysical surveys, ground investigations, foundation designs and earthworks. Leading two teams of geotechnical engineers working on the design and construction of 11 artificial islands and 12kM of causeways with all associated marine and civil works. The islands are created for oil and gas industry on site lies 40km offshore and in water depth up to 15m. My main duties are the review, verification and construction supervision of the following tasks- Marine ground investigation and interpretative reporting - Dredging and reclamation design - Ground improvement design including; deep and surface compaction, preloading and surcharging - Verification pre and post ground improvement test results and full Zone Load tests - Design of marine structures such as: quay walls, shore and slope protection, fenders, revetments, Ro Ro Ramps, jetties …etc- Causeway and culvert design - Instrumentation and monitoring of earthworks and structures - Early civil works; drilling pads, pavements, helipads - Guide piles and other marine foundations - Temporary earthworks
