I believe leadership is about clarity, accountability, and creating the conditions for others to thrive - not control. I’ve always liked what Simon Sinek says; that leadership isn’t about being in charge, it’s about taking care of the people in your charge.That idea has shaped a lot of my thinking over the years, across FTSE 100 businesses, major public sector programmes, and now, as Managing Director at the Advance Consultancy.I’ve led complex change, built cross-functional teams, and navigated more than a few high-pressure environments, but what I’ve found matters most is the how: how people work together, how trust is built, how problems are surfaced and solved (not swept under the carpet).At Advance, we support clients to build collaborative, resilient, high-performing teams, the kind that can challenge each other well, create and develop psychological safety, and actually deliver under pressure.
