   Al began his career in sales and marketing in 1984, representing the Toshiba line of MS-DOS and Unix based products for the West Coast. He joined VSP in February 1988 and was promoted in 1994 to establish the Managed Care Sales division. In 2013, Al was promoted to Senior VP and currently has overall General Manager responsibility for the Strategic Business Unit housing the VSP Direct to Consumer - Individual Plan line of insurance products. Al\'s present responsibilities include: Maniacal growth, P&L, business development, operations, retention and the marketing of products to purchase vision care directly from VSP web assets, or from myriad industry partners that utilize the national scope and direct-to-consumer expertise of VSP.
