ABOUT AL PAXTON

I am a writer and aspiring author focused on sharing stories of resilience, leadership, and personal growth drawn from a lifetime of service and reflection. My current priority is to write and publish works that explore themes of overcoming adversity, building meaningful connections, and navigating life’s challenges with courage and purpose. As a retired Green Beret and current Chief People Officer, I bring a unique blend of military precision and leadership expertise to my storytelling. My writing reflects years of experience leading diverse teams across complex environments, solving impossible problems, and helping individuals and organizations unlock their full potential. I aim to inspire and empower others by weaving actionable insights with deeply personal reflections. In addition to my writing, I am proud to have spent 25+ years serving with the U.S. Army Special Operations Command and transitioning that experience into leading workforce development and culture-building initiatives in the private sector. I’m also the creator of the blog Bountiful Brigade, a platform dedicated to exploring resilience, leadership, and growth through storytelling and community engagement. My ultimate goal is to publish stories that connect with readers across all walks of life—whether veterans, leaders, or anyone seeking growth and transformation. I am passionate about creating meaningful content that inspires others to embrace their challenges and thrive. Based in Denver, Colorado, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, exploring the Rocky Mountains, and reflecting on life’s journey through writing.
