About Alphonso Blackwell
My name is Alphonso Blackwell I am currently a Teacher at Victory College Prep in Indianapolis Indiana. I am also a varsity defensive line football coach at at Anderson University. I also coach varsity Track and Field at Beech Grove High School. In the spring of 2020, I graduated with a Bachelor\'s in Cinema and Media Arts and Journalism at Anderson University (IN). At Anderson, I compete in Division football and track. Besides being an athlete, I work for the sports information office at Anderson University where I broadcast the men’s and women’s basketball games. After college, I began my career in sports and education I was selected to be part of the Indianapolis Teaching Fellow in the spring of 2021 where I trained to become an elementary school educator. In the summer of 2021, I was hired as a 5th-grade English teacher at Kindezi Academy. In the fall of 2021, I earned a master\'s degree in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University. That same year, I started the Marian University education masters program where I graduated in May of 2023. After the untimely closing of Kindezi, I was hired as a 6th-grade guided reading teacher at Victory College Prep where I teach 5-6th grade students reading fluency and comprehension skills.
