Responsible for ensuring that the chemical products that we source and distribute through our operating companies around the world comply with any regulatory requirements where sold. I am involved with the entire end to end process, from the initial discussions with our vendors, to auditing SDSs and hazard labels, setting up our SAP EH & S system, to advising our warehouse team which items will require special storage. My primary focus is on making sure that we do not offer any products for sale in a global market where they are either do not comply with “supply” regulations, or where we do not have a suitable shipping route to market (e.g. forbidden for air shipments). I act as a central point of contact for any “hazardous” related issue, and provide support to colleagues from around the world on a daily basis.

With excess of 20 years’ experience in the field of Product Compliance, specializing in chemical and hazardous regulations, working for a global distribution business with a range of own label chemical products, with a focus on the EMEA and APAC.Specific expertise with EU Chemical Regulations such as CLP and REACh, e.g. SDSs and Product Labelling; and with experience of Global Regulations (Japan, China, Australia and the United States). Formally qualified in Dangerous Goods (IATA, ADR and IMDG), but retaining an appreciation for issues regarding the global transportation of hazardous goods.Additional experience includes over 10 years supporting our SAP EH & S system as a “Key User”, including involvement with a number of global implementations, and delivering end user training.
