I spent the last several years shaping Goldman Sachs’ cloud-native Transaction Banking (TxB) platform—building modern payment rails, near real-time reconciliation, and high-availability distributed systems that power corporate banking across the US, UK, and EU.I led the design and delivery of next-generation payment rails, including SEPA, CHAPS, FPS and BACS, ensuring full regulatory compliance, scheme certification, and seamless integration with global banking ecosystems. Alongside this, I architected a near real-time reconciliation engine from the ground up—automating break settlement with 150+ matching rules, self-correcting logic, and intelligent categorisation that eliminated 500+ hours of annual operational effort.I directed several engineering teams (Payments, Reconciliation, Confirmation of Payee, and Verification of Payee), driving high standards in engineering, reliability and delivery execution.On the infrastructure side, I managed and optimised 25+ AWS environments, migrating services to Kafka, AWS Fargate and serverless stores, while deprecating legacy EC2/MQ infrastructure. This reduced cloud costs by more than $200K annually and significantly improved resilience. I built scalable distributed systems with fault tolerance and achieved 99.9% uptime across core payment services through strong release, failover and blue-green deployment strategies.I also strengthened audit/compliance posture by delivering key regulatory datasets and building dashboards that reduced engineering dependency by 100+ hours annually. Beyond delivery, I contributed to long-term roadmapping to ensure our technology direction aligned with business strategy, customer impact and operational excellence.
