About Akshrita Balaji

I am currently a junior at the Rutgers Business School-New Brunswick, majoring in Finance and Political Science. After earning my business degree while also sharpening skills such as logical reasoning, critical thinking, and public speaking, I hope to go on to law school. I have always known that I want to help people, and I want to do so using our justice system. I am interested in going into corporate law, and a background in Finance will help me in this field of study. After realizing that I wanted to go into corporate law, I realized that having a solid business background will help me fully understand my clients and, therefore, enable me to help them from a more educated perspective. I hope to be able to bring the skills I acquire during these four years to further enhance my performance during law school.

   Support a larger research project on voter turnout and access by identifying barriers within election systems and helping produce resources that make participation easier- Compile and maintain election law data across states by reviewing statutes, administrative guidance, and policy updates, then organizing findings into usable research outputs - Write clear summaries of complex voting procedures and contribute to voter facing Citizen Guides that turn technical requirements into straightforward steps
