I am a Research Engineer at the University of Florida\'s Intelligent Clinical Care Center (IC3). My research focuses on developing AI-enabled technologies in the healthcare field, with a primary focus on two specific areas: i) developing intelligent digital twins for patient/provider experiences and training, involving multi-agent LLM avatars and real-world data in mixed reality, and ii) developing novel and fair representations of medical multimodal time series, text, and image data.I also have research experience in HCI, robotics, signal processing, and distributed computing.If you\'re interested in AI, healthcare research, or building intelligent digital twins, let\'s talk.    Developing a fair temporal cross-attention transformer model with dynamic embeddings to handle sparse and irregular medical time-series electronic health record (EHR) data for classifying postoperative complications. Developing contrastive and counterfactual explainable AI methods to interpret results from Transformer models for time series data in healthcare.Developed a GPT-4 Turbo-based LLM intelligent avatar with RAG capabilities to answer patient questions and queries across various medical domains, enabling simulated patient interactions prior to medical procedures.Developed LLM enabled avatars that can generate actions in mixed reality environments of from user’s speech input.Developing an instruction fine-tuned LLM capable of generating responses aligned with the personas of doctors, patients, or nurses, specifically within the context of the ICU.
