My passion for solving complex problems at scale began in high school when I took a Java development course. The process of instructing computers, troubleshooting issues, and celebrating successful outcomes fascinated me, setting the foundation for my future career.My professional journey in software engineering started as an intern at Amazon. After advancing to the role of Sr. Software Developer, I discovered a new passion: working through others, influencing organizational decisions, and nurturing talent. This realization led me to embark on a new path as a people manager. Now, with over a decade of experience in the field I still embrace the \'Day-1\' mentality, recognizing there\'s always more to learn. My current role as a Software Development Manager in Supply Chain Optimization Technologies involves explaining and optimizing decisions made by systems controlling package flow through Amazon\'s global fulfillment supply chain. This challenging position requires collaboration across diverse teams of engineers, product managers, scientists, and supply chain experts.The field offers an unparalleled blend of mathematical, algorithmic, and business complexities. It constantly tests not only technical skills but also people management, stakeholder communication, and the ability to influence outcomes at an organizational level.
