As a core member of Samsung’s Visual Intelligence Team, I lead the research, development, and commercialization of deep learning–based image enhancement solutions for flagship Galaxy devices.My work includes the design and deployment of a diffusion-based Super-Resolution IP, trained via multi-stage teacher-student distillation and deployed using ONNX for on-device inference. I also worked on the development of a GAN-based multimodal image colorization model, which supports language-guided colorization and runs in sub-second latency on-device.I’ve also built and optimized a multi-artifact detection module to identify and quantify blur, low-light, and other degradations—cutting artifact detection latency by 60%. These models were integrated into the Android framework using JNI for real-time inference on edge devices.My work bridges applied research and product deployment, earning me the Samsung Excellence Award (2023) and multiple Spot Awards. I’ve co-authored a patent currently in commercial use.
