Here\'s the thing about data governance that nobody tells you: it\'s not really about data at all. It\'s about people.After 15 years in quality assurance and business analysis, I\'ve learned that the best frameworks in the world mean nothing if people don\'t trust them, understand them, or see why they matter. That\'s why I approach data governance differently.I\'m currently building a data governance capability from the ground up. Not by creating policies that sit in document management tools gathering digital dust, but by sitting with stakeholders, understanding their actual problems, and designing governance that makes their jobs easier, not harder.My background in QA gives me an unusual advantage in this space. I\'ve spent years thinking about what makes quality stick in an organisation, and it\'s never just about the checklist. It\'s about building trust, speaking the language of the business, and showing people the value before asking for the commitment.What drives my work:• Establishing accountability frameworks where people want to own their data• Implementing practical solutions for data cataloguing, metadata management, and data quality• Driving data literacy by translating complex concepts into conversations anyone can join• Helping organisations use their data confidently and compliantlyI completed my MBA with Distinction from Bayes Business School in 2023, focusing on Business Analytics & Digital Business. I\'m also DAMA certified at Associate level and working toward Master level certification.What colleagues say about my approach: resourceful, strategic, supportive. I\'ll add one more - curious.
