About Akshay Kumar
I am a PhD scholar in the Mechanical Engineering department of IIT Kanpur. My research area is dynamics and vibrations. My PhD thesis involves the implementation of a waveguide finite element method for vibration analysis of radial tires. It involves the concept of nonlinear FEA, Vibration, solid mechanics, hyperelasticity, and viscoelasticity. I have developed MATLAB code for FEA and simultaneously compared results with ABAQUS. I am also interested in solving different structural vibration problems, specifically tires, using Physics-informed neural networks (PINNs). I have also worked on different machine learning projects. Software: ABAQUS, MATLAB, Python, NASTRAN, PATRAN, Hypermesh, COMSOL, AutoCAD, MSC Adams.
