   I am Currently working as an Assistant Manager – Plant Maintenance, responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability, safe operations, and uninterrupted plant availability in a large-scale metallurgical plant environment.I am actively involved in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities for critical mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, and auxiliary systems. My role focuses on minimizing breakdowns, improving equipment life, and supporting continuous plant operations.I regularly coordinate with OEMs and external vendors for technical troubleshooting, spare parts planning, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and root cause analysis of recurring failures. This has helped in reducing downtime and improving maintenance response effectiveness.A key part of my responsibility includes leading and supporting maintenance shutdown activities, where I am involved in shutdown planning, manpower coordination, job sequencing, safety compliance, and timely execution to ensure completion within planned schedules.I also prepare and maintain maintenance history cards, equipment records, SOPs, and technical reports, which support reliability improvement, failure analysis, and long-term asset management strategies.Safety is a core focus of my role. I actively promote and implement a Zero Harm safety culture by ensuring safe work practices, permit compliance, tool-box talks, and coordination between execution and plant maintenance teams.Through this role, I have developed strong skills in maintenance planning, equipment reliability, vendor management, shutdown execution, documentation, and safety leadership, while continuously learning and adapting to plant operational challenges.
