About Akshay Bhateja
Akshay is Finance Manager partnering with Amazon DEX product team to improve delivery experience (DEX) and reduce cost to serve for MENA, LATAM, APAC markets.He was previously leading finance for West India, Last Mile Operations (AMZL) at Amazon. Prior to this, he led finance for Travel and Entertainment categories in Amazon Pay (APay) and was instrumental in the launch of Hotel & International Flight categories in APay. He was also instrumental in setting up first of its kind monetisation opportunity for APay- revenue from customers by launching Agent Service Fee for Trains. Akshay started his career with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and spent 3+ years driving focused cost reduction projects for HVAC systems for new model launches. After completing his B.Tech from NIT- Bhopal, Akshay did MBA from IIM-Kozhikode.With over 8 years of experience in product strategy, corporate finance in leading e-commerce, fintech and automotive industry, Akshay has a diverse experience across product management, businesses partnering, BU P&L management, operations, financial planning and analysis.Akshay has also worked on several projects: setting up product roadmap and financial metrics for IES DEX, business re-alignment and automation.
