About Akshay Ahuja

I’m a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Texas Tech University, currently working as a Project Manager. In this role, I oversee project execution from planning through completion, coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors, track schedules and deliverables, and prepare status updates for leadership. I also help identify gaps, support installation activities, maintain project documentation, and keep multiple workstreams moving forward in fast-paced operational environments. My background includes experience supporting engineering, infrastructure, and operations-focused projects, which has strengthened my ability to manage timelines, solve problems, communicate across teams, and maintain accountability through each phase of project delivery. I’m comfortable working with vendors, monitoring progress, documenting issues, and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to standard. In addition to my project management experience, I have completed a Post Graduate Program in Cybersecurity through The University of Texas at Austin, which further strengthened my analytical thinking, risk awareness, and structured approach to problem-solving and documentation. Previously, I supported municipal infrastructure projects with the City of Houston, where I conducted inspections, identified noncompliant assets, and documented technical processes. These experiences helped build my foundation in coordination, field support, compliance awareness, and cross-functional communication. I’m currently focused on continuing to build my experience in project management, leveraging my engineering background and strengths in coordination, vendor management, and driving projects to successful completion in operational environments.
