The House of Sunita Shekhawat is a heritage fine jewellery house founded in 1996 in Jaipur, India. A first-generation jeweller with no family background in the craft, Sunita Shekhawat is known as "The Modern Meenakar" for reviving meenakari, Jaipur's centuries-old enamelling art, and giving it a contemporary voice. Her work honours colour above all: deep, vibrant enamel on gold, uncut polki diamonds given new vitality, and gemstones chosen to evoke the heritage of Rajasthan. Alongside its signature meenakari, the House practises the rare French enamelling techniques of plique-a-jour, champleve, and basse-taille, the only Indian luxury house to do so at the highest level. Spanning heritage, high jewellery, contemporary, and men's collections, as well as museum-grade objets d'art, each piece is handcrafted in the Jaipur atelier and presented by private appointment at the Jaipur flagship and the Defence Colony and DLF Emporio boutiques in New Delhi. Now a family-run house, with the next generation carrying the craft forward, the House opened a new chapter in 2024 when Sunita Shekhawat founded the Museum of Meenakari Heritage (MOMH), India's first museum dedicated to the art of meenakari enamel.
