TAPP Coalition is advocating for a more sustainable food and agriculture system, primarily targeting the major drivers of climate change within the system - the meat and dairy industry. The food and agriculture system accounts for nearly 60% of global methane emissions and 25% of global Greenhouse Gas emissions. TAPP Coalition is aiming to get a \"meat tax\" passed in the EU to subsidise vegetarian and plant-based products and hence make a sustainable transition from meat and dairy products. This also involves making food and agriculture a central topic in climate disussions. My current role comprises:1. Rallying support and getting more signatures for our COP29 Declaration from countries in Asia and South America.2. Heading a subgroup within the Food and Climate Action Group (FCAG) on pricing, taxation and subsidy reforms within the food system.3. Advocating for climate-responsible food policies within the European Union.4. Meeting with representatives of other organisations with similar goals to plan and strategize actions for upcoming climate conferences (COP29, New York Climate Week and beyond).
