I am currently involved in the design of mid-highrise residential & commercial projects in middle-east & India. Some of my daily tasks & responsibilities at work include-Assisting Lead design engineer\'s in concept and schematic stage of projects-Performing finite element analysis using ETABS and SAFE software’s. Some of the other softwares I use for elemental designs are SP column and RCM builder-Design and detailing of structural elements like beams, slabs, columns, shear-walls, foundations (isolated, raft, pile), staircases, transfer plates and transfer supporting columns as per ACI/ASCE codes, IS codes, Dubai building code (DBC) and Saudi code-Developing structural design calculations and stability reports for both lateral and gravity design; for local municipal authority submission-Reviewing other engineer’s FEA models and design as a part of internal review process to ensure quality.
