About Akmal Hashim
Hi! My name is Akmal Hashim and I am a recent Postgraduate in Biotechnology. As someone who has always been fascinated by science, I pursued a Bachelor\'s degree in Biochemistry before advancing my education with a postgraduate degree in Biotechnology. My interest in Biotechnology stems from my involvement in various research projects that sparked my interest in molecular biology and genetic engineering. Throughout my academic journey, I have striven to keep up my academic excellence and grasp the most out of each and every opportunities I was given with. This helped me in developing my theoretical and practical knowledge of this field. My experience in Biotechnology has been diverse, and I have worked on several projects that have honed my technical skills each of which has deepened my understanding in the filed of Bio-sciences. From Nucleic Acid isolation to Tissue culture, I have gained extensive experience in a range of laboratory skills and techniques, including various electrophoresis & PCR setups, biochemistry and microbiology techniques, UV spectroscopy & colourimetry, analytical and molecular biology techniques, chromatography, gel doc imaging, microscopy, HPLC, GC, AS, bioinformatic software, fermentation methods, fermentors, and genetic engineering methods like cloning, transformation, and recombinant screening etc, thanks to my training at a state of the art Research Lab. My ultimate goal is to to work in a dynamic research environment where I can use my technical skills to advance our understanding of biological processes and contribute to the development of innovative technologies and therapies that have the potential to make a positive impact on human health and the environment. Whether through academia or industry, I am eager to be a part of a community that shares my passion for biotechnology and the potential it holds for shaping the world we live in. To achieve this, I plan to continue learning and refining my skills while remaining up-to-date with advancements in the field of biotechnology. I aim to create a positive impact on the world, both through my work and by inspiring others to pursue careers in biotechnology.
