I teach a variety of courses in the Child Development department, where the majority of my students are current or aspiring early childhood professionals. I am especially interested in creating more equitable and respectful learning environments for future generations. Together, the students and I explore the role that culture, identity, race, ability, class, and other identities play in a child\'s experiences and education. The goal is to educate teachers who are self-aware, possess cultural humility, and who have the tools and compassion necessary to create space for every child and family to learn and to thrive.
