As Vice President of International Technology at Walmart Global Tech India, I lead global product and engineering teams powering Walmart’s platforms across some of the most dynamic retail markets in the world.In recent years, I’ve had the opportunity to drive large-scale transformation across key areas like Customer Engagement, Growth and eCommerce for Canada, Mexico, Chile, and South Africa—building tailored, scalable, and resilient systems that serve millions of customers daily. I also lead growth-focused initiatives in Ad monetization, CRM, and SEM, helping unlock new revenue streams while enhancing customer engagement and personalization.A major force behind this transformation is Generative AI. We\'re embedding GenAI across these domains to completely rethink how we solve problems—from content generation and smart recommendations to operational automation and associate-facing tools. Whether it’s accelerating item onboarding in Catalog, generating enriched product metadata at scale, enhancing seller onboarding journeys in Marketplace, or driving curated assortment acquisition, GenAI is allowing us to approach problems with creativity, precision, and speed like never before.Our Catalog system today powers over a billion items across multiple countries, and our Marketplace platforms enable third-party sellers around the world to easily list, manage, and scale their businesses. Through a GenAI-first approach, we’re not only improving accuracy and scale—we’re redefining what’s possible in terms of speed, personalization, and adaptability.Across all of these areas, my focus is on building technology that’s meaningful, scalable, and human. I’ve carried that philosophy throughout a 25+ year journey that includes co-founding a startup, being a core part of Walmart Global Tech growth journey in Bangalore, and leading enterprise transformation at scale.As I shared in Walmart’s “Technology on the Move” series, we’re building global technologies and tailored offerings to serve our customers wherever they are. And as we move into the next phase of retail—adaptive, intelligent, and truly global—Generative AI is at the heart of how we transform not just our tools, but our thinking.I lead with curiosity, empathy, and a belief in long-term impact. Above all, I believe that great technology is built by empowered teams solving real problems—for people, at scale, and with purpose.
