I am a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, working on large-scale optimization and decision-making problems in transportation and logistics in middle-mile domain. My work centers on developing scalable mathematical models and algorithms for vehicle routing, network design, and scheduling under complex operational constraints.I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial & Systems Engineering (Operations Research) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where my research focused on discrete optimization, mixed-integer programming, and decomposition methods. I also earned master’s degrees in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering.Across industry and research roles, I have applied techniques from mathematical optimization, machine learning, and simulation to solve complex problems in logistics, energy, and supply chains.Website: https://soniakhilesh.github.io/
