Physicist / Material scientist with 15 years of experience in semiconductors, optics, optoelectronics, spectroscopy, microscopy and solid-state materials (Silicon, 2D materials such as graphene, and MoS2).• Led R&D projects for the emerging semiconducting materials system including at Los Alamos National Laboratory.• Designed, fabricated semiconductor devices (FET, MOSFET, SPADs) based on surface physics and their characterization in clean room –Optical & e-beam lithography, thin film deposition, etching, NEMS, MEMS, transport, optical and Scanning electron microscopy, spectroscopic, surface, structural, thermal, and electrochemical. • Utilized extensively various Computational, Mathematical Physics, and Statistical methods for data analysis and modeling for solving Physics and materials science problems.• Device design and materials analysis to develop new chip design and process for improvement of Geiger-mode APD performance and yield. • Designed and developed a method for Graphene based Mid-IR biosensors, photosensors, and detectors. • Designed and modified UV-Vis spectrometer set up for detection of broad-band light emission from Si nanoparticles.• Synthesized, and growth of layered 2D materials (graphene, MoS2) and transferred on substrates for device applications. • Surface engineered carbon nanomaterials, 2D materials to 5-fold increase in device performance. • Strong written and communication skills and wrote several papers, reports, invited talks, technical presentations.• Presented the scientific findings at various conferences (CLEO, MRS, APS, Nanotech), Universities, National laboratories as invited/contributed speakers.• Personal strengths include identifying the problems, developing alternatives, implementing solutions. • Highly result oriented, self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
