About Akhil Arunkumar

I am an engineering leader with strong cross stack experience in the area of machine learning systems. I have experience building and managing complex software and hardware development projects. At d-Matrix I lead a talented team of software engineers on a mission to build a low-latency inference engine (similar to vLLM and TensorRT-LLM) and host runtime (We are hiring!) for d-Matrix accelerators. I also hold a Ph.D. in CS.In the past, I have led technical projects in the area of performance architecture, workload analysis, and accelerator design. I am a well published author with multiple patents and high-impact publications in top-tier publication venues (MLSys, ISCA, HPCA, MICRO, etc) in the area of machine learning systems and computer architecture.
