As part of the dry cargo operations team, I manage a wide range of post-fixture activities across Time Charter (TC), Voyage Charter (VC), and COA contracts. My role includes:Handling daily operational duties related to vessels and cargoLiaising with brokers, counterparties, Owners, and Charterers on operational mattersMonitoring voyages and updating internal operations systems regularlyReviewing recaps and Charter Parties to ensure consistency and clarityVerifying freight and hire invoices for accuracy before submitting them to Charterers and timely following up on paymentsCoordinating with the accounts team to ensure commission invoices are issued and trackedManaging and tracking vessel itineraries, ensuring contractual obligations are metHandling all voyage-related declarations and communicating them before expiryRequesting and checking loading, discharge, and proceeding ordersFollowing up on port documentation and ensuring Letters of Indemnity (LOIs) are issued timelyIdentifying and resolving any operational issues faced by clients, vessels, or cargoesSupporting the chartering team with documentation, client follow-ups, and closing filesAssisting Charter Party analysts with CP drafting and execution queriesHelping train new joiners and coordinating with colleagues across time zonesTaking on additional and ad hoc tasks as needed to support the business
