About Akash Basu

Once a colleague of mine started a confectionary business but she was not actually getting the exposure besides the immediate word of mouth. Her pastries were tasty, and the social media images were great, so what was not clicking? And it made me think what if she enhanced the visuals a bit more and make it more appealing, more professional. As the thought continued, I approached a friend of mine who is a graphic designer and referred him to her. As the new visuals pumped in, soon her page started getting more attractions. It is the story of when I was still working as a content writer and realised, I want to do more than just writing.When I started my first day as a student of English literature, I thought I would be a writer,(Carrie Bradshaw & Dan Humphrey already corrupted my mind) at least some kind of a writer. But the more I studied the subject, the more I understood how studying English literature does not train one to be a writer, rather a critical thinker. Well of course writing was my passion, it is, but it is not all that I want to do. The networking incident with my colleague & friend and further studies made me think that I would love to start my career in MarCom.I enjoy connecting with people, listen compassionately to what they are trying to express, and build rapport with them. I like to keep in touch with people and do not hesitate to contact them at times of need. Whenever I hear about any new venture ideas, I picture the ways they can get the public eye. To nurture my passion and advance my career in the communication and marketing field and work as a Social Media Manager.
