   VLSI – Very Large Scale Integration Definition:VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) is a technology used to create integrated circuits (ICs) by combining millions of transistors and other electronic components on a single silicon chip.It allows complex digital systems like processors and memory to be implemented on one chip. Full Form:VLSI = Very Large Scale Integration Basic Concept:Earlier, circuits were built using a few transistors (SSI – Small Scale Integration) or hundreds (MSI – Medium Scale Integration).With advancements, we reached LSI (Large Scale Integration) and now VLSI, which integrates millions or billions of devices on one chip. Main Idea:The goal of VLSI is to integrate more functionality into a smaller area with lower power consumption and higher performance.
