ABOUT AKASH RATAN GUPTA

With more than five years of experience in the circular economy and sustainability sector, I am passionate about finding innovative solutions for plastic waste management and extended producer responsibility (EPR). I hold a Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from TERI University, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills in solid waste management, analytical skills, and new business development. As a Senior Manager at Recity, I lead the plastic credits and plastic waste material trading division, where I work with various stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient waste channelization and recycling. I have also worked as a Manager and a Key Account Manager at Recykal, where I added new vendors, recyclers, and co-processors to the existing system, and consulted clients on solid waste management processes and approaches. Through these roles, I have demonstrated my ability to manage operations, supply chain, and vendor relationships, as well as to deliver high-quality customer service and satisfaction.
