PhD candidate in the lab of Dr.Farah Lubin, Dept of Neurobiology with dissertation titled \"The role of Astrocytic Neat1 isoforms in the aging hippocampus.\" My project involved deciphering the role of the lncRNA Neat1 transcript isoforms in the hippocampus of the aging mouse brain. I utilize an AAV vector based CRISPR gene deletion strategy with a cell type specific focus by targeting the astrocytes specifically. I study the downstream effects of Neat1 isoform depletion in readouts such as paraspeckle formation, hippocampus-dependent memory formation and consolidation, histone methylation changes etc,
