I’m Akash Anirudha Malame, originally from Gondia, a small town in Maharashtra. I completed my graduation in Telecom Engineering from Mumbai University, but soon realized that engineering wasn’t where my true passion lay. The seed of filmmaking was planted, and since then, I’ve embarked on a journey of self-learning and exploration that has lasted over seven years and is still ongoing. During this time, I’ve been constantly analyzing films, brainstorming ideas, and meeting people in the industry, all in an effort to understand what it takes to make a great film and to become a skilled filmmaker. Through this process, I’ve honed my craft and developed a strong foundation in three key areas that I believe are essential to making an outstanding film: Screenplay, Direction, and Editing. These deliberate choices reflect my dedication to honing these skills, ensuring that I contribute to the creation of exceptional cinematic experiences. As a Screenwriter, Director, and Editor. I believe in the mantra:\"Write with the heart and Edit with the head.\" My journey in filmmaking is driven by a deep passion for storytelling, where I blend creativity and technical skill to craft compelling character narratives and perspectives. Writing a story is about imagination, while crafting a screenplay requires technical prowess and understanding of the narrative structure. It involves skills, calculations, timing, and understanding various perspectives. Intuition alone can sometimes shape a screenplay, but it doesn’t always capture the impact that’s needed. Stories inherently suggest their own screenplays; understanding this comes with grasping the grammar and the formula. After years of learning, I can proudly affirm this understanding, validated by positive feedback and results from my editing work. I’ve consistently applied these insights and achieved the desired results, which has made the visuals even more powerful. Along with film editing, I bring strong creative instincts for developing quick and impactful advertisement concepts. Skilled at generating original ideas under tight deadlines, I adapt easily to different formats and audiences. As an all-rounder with a collaborative mindset, I am always willing to take on diverse responsibilities to ensure the success of any project.
