With over 15 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting advisory, I specialise in helping organisations navigate complex financial transactions, technical accounting challenges, and capital market requirements. Currently a Partner in the CFO Advisory team at KPMG India, I work closely with clients across industries—including telecom, consumer markets, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, and industrial manufacturing—on IFRS, US GAAP, and other global accounting standards. I thrive on building strong, collaborative relationships and driving impactful financial strategies that help organizations succeed in an evolving regulatory environment. & Throughout my career, I have advised leading organisations on critical accounting areas, including business combinations, group reorganisations, leases, consolidation, deferred taxes, revenue recognition, and hedge accounting. My expertise lies in pre- and post-deal reporting, having worked extensively with large clients across India, Europe, and the Middle East as part of cross-functional teams. I have also supported companies in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, including assisting a global management consulting firm in its US listing through a de-SPAC process. This involved SEC filings (8-K, 10-Q), consultations, and drafting responses to SEC comments. During my time with KPMG UK, I worked with premium-listed and large private companies on group reorganisations, distributable reserves, share-based payments, leases, cloud computing arrangements, acquisition accounting, and UK capital markets filings. Beyond client advisory, I am passionate about capability building and knowledge sharing. I have conducted numerous training workshops, including leading a World Bank-funded project to train Nepal’s regulators on IFRS and assess its regulatory impact. I have also been a regular contributor to thought leadership publications on key financial reporting topics, such as illustrative Ind AS financial statements, accounting for cloud computing arrangements, revenue recognition under ASC 606 and IFRS 16 implications for the pharmaceutical industry.
